This is a small, 4.5" x 5" piece I made for a friend. I traced the image onto freezer paperand stitched right through the paper and layers to get the image on the fabric. The tricky part was removing the freezer paper after stitching through it. Did the same thing with the letters. Then I filled in the letters with stitching, trimmed and satin stitched the edge.

Here are some purses I made this summer.I realized I liked a small bag to hang over my shoulder by my waist. I copied this from a small bag I had, but made it a little bigger. It is perfect for walks. I had some left over pieced fabric from the canvas piece so I made this bag.I just played around with the free motion quilting.

For our 6 year wedding anni I made a Thompson traditional special occasion breakfast.Big blueberry pancake cake. It is the powdered sugar that makes it so special.Here is the finished meal with sparkling apple cider.Husband looks pleased. They look like they are almost ready. It took 3 pans to cook 'em.

This is my latest piece, inspired by the fun of dancing. Here it is appliquéd and pinned, ready to be quilted. I used Wonder Under for the bodies, and Elmer’s School glue for the rest. Neither seemed to adhere the fabric as well as I would have liked. If anyone has a tip for that, I would love to hear it. I ended up putting in a ton of little pins to make sure it all holds together for layering

Here it is completed, I am very happy with the way it turned out.This is for the Genesee Valley Quilt Club 2009 Challenge. For this challenge you were given a fat quarter of fabric, which is the fabric piece in the hands above. This is my latest project, It is based on the male figure used for the Hoffman Challenge, A Quiet place (39”x 38”), which is currently traveling. This is the beginning stages of piecing it together using a piece of muslin over the sketch. I tried a new technique, instead of using Wonder Under I used Elmer's school glue.
