Breaking Traditions is an art quilt exhibit hung at the American Sewing Expo in Novi, Michigan each year in the fall. The 2009 theme is Home. Breaking Traditions is teaming up with Bernie Berlin's A Place to Bark. Bernie's organization works to find forever homes for abused and orphaned dogs. This year's exhibit will benefit her organization while showcasing art quilts depicting the many definitions of the word Home.
Here are my two pieces for the exhibit:
Sweet Home Chicago
Winter Sunrise

Love what you did with the sky in "Chicago"
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to believe that you've only been quilting for two years. Your work is terrific! I especially like Winter Sunrise and the Balancing pieces that tell the struggles of you and your husband in this tough economy. Congratulations on getting accepted into the show.
ReplyDeleteJeanette--these are both fabulous! The Chicago skyline is very inspirational and you've done it up wonderfully. I also love the winterscape--reminds me of...Wisconsin! Your love of these two places really shines through. Congrats!
