Art Trading Cards

I am off to the last Chicago Quilt Festival, my favorite quilt related event of the year.

I am greatly saddened that this will be the last one.

These are the Art Trading Cards (ATC) I made for The Quilting Arts’ Trading Post,

where during show hours you can trade a variety of art. They are 2.5” x 3.5.”

My next post will be about what I traded them for.

Hand of Hope

This is a small, 4.5" x 5" piece I made for a friend.

I traced the image onto freezer paper

and stitched right through the paper and layers to get the image on the fabric.

The tricky part was removing the freezer paper after stitching through it.

Did the same thing with the letters.

Then I filled in the letters with stitching, trimmed and satin stitched the edge.
